Hello, Draftward

Draftward is in active development. This is the first of what will be many posts sharing progress as the project grows: new features, lessons learned, essays written with it, and the occasional argument about what it means to write serious nonfiction alongside a language model.

The premise is simple. Most people who mean to write a real essay never finish one — not for lack of an idea, but for lack of a structure, a second reader, and the discipline to carry a thought all the way to a defensible draft. Draftward is built to be that developmental editor: it interviews you, organizes your thinking, fact-checks every claim against its source, and drafts in your voice — while you stay the writer at every step.
